     Sir Alfred Allen Booth, 1st Bt. was born on 17 September 1872.1 He was the son of Alfred Booth and Lydia Allen Butler.1 He married, firstly, Mary Blake Dwight, daughter of Edmund Dwight and Mary Flanagan Blake, on 15 December 1903.1 He married, secondly, Margaret Lucy Brightwen, daughter of Charles Edward Brightwen, on 9 November 1925.2 He died on 13 March 1948 at age 75.2
     Sir Alfred Allen Booth, 1st Bt. was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from King's College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He was a director of the Cunard Steamship Company.1 He was a director of Alfred Booth & Company.1 He was created 1st Baronet Booth, of Allerton Beeches, City of Liverpool [U.K.] on 24 January 1916.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Liverpool University, Liverpool, England.1
