     Commander Timothy John Windham Hale is the son of Bernard John Windham Hale.1 He married Penelope Ann Boothby, daughter of Sir Hugo Robert Brooke Boothby, 14th Bt. and Evelyn Ann Homfray, on 29 August 1959.1 He and Penelope Ann Boothby were divorced in 1965.1
     Commander Timothy John Windham Hale was registered as a Associate Member, Institute of Nuclear Engineering (A.M.I.Nuc.E.).1 He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.1
