     Ewan Law was born on 9 October 1747 at Greystoke, Cumberland, England.2 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Edmund Law and Mary Christian.2 He married Henrietta Sarah Markham, daughter of Dr. William Markham, on 28 June 1784.2 He died on 24 April 1829 at age 81 at Horsted, Sussex, England.2
     Ewan Law held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Westbury between 1790 and 1795.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newtown, Isle of Wight in 1802.2 He lived at Horsted Place, Uckfield, Sussex, England.3
