     Sir Thomas Dudley Blennerhassett Bowater, 3rd Bt. was born on 29 September 1889.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater, 1st Bt. and Emily Margaret Spencer.¹ He married, firstly, Kathleen Mary Frost, daughter of Albert A. Frost, on 8 January 1916.¹ He married, secondly, Jessie F. Frampton, daughter of W. J. Frampton, on 17 December 1948.¹ He died on 3 March 1972 at age 82, without male issue.¹

     Joan Edith Hughes was born on 31 October 1929.² She was the daughter of Joseph Hughes.¹ She married Michael Vansittart Bowater, son of Norman Vansittart Bowater and Jessie F. Frampton, on 20 August 1955.¹ She died on 13 January 2017 at age 87.²
     From 20 August 1955, her married name became Bowater.¹
