     Sir Thomas Dudley Blennerhassett Bowater, 3rd Bt. was born on 29 September 1889.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Vansittart Bowater, 1st Bt. and Emily Margaret Spencer.1 He married, firstly, Kathleen Mary Frost, daughter of Albert A. Frost, on 8 January 1916.1 He married, secondly, Jessie F. Frampton, daughter of W. J. Frampton, on 17 December 1948.1 He died on 3 March 1972 at age 82, without male issue.1
     Sir Thomas Dudley Blennerhassett Bowater, 3rd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Dudley.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Westminster Dragoons.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Territorial Force Reserve.1 He became a Liveryman, Gardeners' Company.1 He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baronet Bowater, of Hill Crest, Croydon [U.K., 1914] on 2 March 1945.1
