     George Ambrose Lloyd, 1st Baron Lloyd was born on 19 September 1879. He was the son of Sampson Samuel Lloyd and Jane Emilia Lloyd. He married Hon. Blanche Isabella Lascelles, daughter of Commander Hon. Frederick Canning Lascelles and Frederica Maria Liddell, on 13 November 1911. He died on 4 February 1941 at age 61.
     George Ambrose Lloyd, 1st Baron Lloyd gained the title of 1st Baron Lloyd.
