     Major Melville Balfour was the son of Robert Drummond Balfour. He married Margaret Mary Lascelles, daughter of Commander Hon. Frederick Canning Lascelles and Frederica Maria Liddell, on 27 November 1914.1 He died on 4 October 1962.1
     Major Melville Balfour gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1

     Percy Stanhope was born on 27 August 1828.1 He was the son of Rev. Hon. FitzRoy Henry Richard Stanhope and Caroline Wyndham.1 He married Helenora Crompton, daughter of Joshua Crompton, on 15 December 1858.1 He died on 29 September 1874 at age 46.1

     Helenora Crompton was the daughter of Joshua Crompton.1 She married Percy Stanhope, son of Rev. Hon. FitzRoy Henry Richard Stanhope and Caroline Wyndham, on 15 December 1858.1 She died on 14 July 1874.1
     Her married name became Stanhope.

     Captain Percy Seymour Stanhope was born on 22 July 1865.1 He was the son of Percy Stanhope and Helenora Crompton.1 He married Anne Stallard, daughter of G. T. Stallard, in 1897.1 He died on 4 March 1909 at age 43.1
     Captain Percy Seymour Stanhope gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Oxfordshire Light Infantry.1
