     John Leslie Boyce was born on 16 November 1934.1 He is the son of Sir Harold Leslie Boyce, 1st Bt. and Maybery Browse Bevan.1 He married, firstly, Finola Mary Maxwell, daughter of James Patrick Maxwell, on 19 January 1957.1 He and Finola Mary Maxwell were divorced in 1975.1 He married, secondly, Fusako Ishibashi, daughter of Yonesaku Ishibashi, in 1980.1
     John Leslie Boyce was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He was a missile design engineer for Sir W. G. Armstrong-Whitworth between 1956 and 1973.1 He lived in 2003 at 182 Huntingdale Road, Mount Waverley, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.1
