     Major Ronald Walter Boyd was born on 29 January 1914.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Henry Alexander Boyd and Moya Exham.1 He married Constance Virginia Freeman, daughter of John Freeman, on 8 June 1939.1 He died on 23 October 1944 at age 30 at Italy, killed in action.1
     Major Ronald Walter Boyd fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Ulster Rifles.1 He was decorated with the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1944.1
