He died on 11 March 1912 at age 82.1

     Lt.-Col. Henry Alexander Boyd was born on 11 July 1877.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Walter Boyd, 1st Bt. and Annie Catherine Anderson.1 He married Moya Exham, daughter of John Shaw Exham, on 22 July 1908.1 He died on 1 November 1943 at age 66.1
     Lt.-Col. Henry Alexander Boyd fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.1 He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in dispathces four times.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Field Artillery.1 He was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.1 He was decorated with the Legion of Honour.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1
