     Robert Stanley Boyd was born on 6 March 1927.1 He is the son of Robert Reginald Boyd and Agnes Maria Dorothea Harrison.1 He married Ann Hopkin, daughter of Daniel Hopkin, on 30 April 1965.1
     Robert Stanley Boyd was educated at Wellington College, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.).1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1954 entitled to practice as a barrister.1 He was a solicitor with the Inland Revenue between 1979 and 1986.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1982.1 He lived in 2003 at Great Beere, North Tawton, Devon, England.1

     Ann Hopkin was the daughter of Daniel Hopkin.1 She married Robert Stanley Boyd, son of Robert Reginald Boyd and Agnes Maria Dorothea Harrison, on 30 April 1965.1 She died on 14 January 1999.1
     From 30 April 1965, her married name became Boyd.1
