     Rt. Hon. Sir Robert William Duff, 4th of Fetteresso was born on 8 May 1835 at London, England.1 He was the son of Arthur Duff and Elizabeth Innes.1 He married Louisa Scott, daughter of Sir William Scott of Ancrum, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Anderson, on 21 February 1871.1 He died on 15 March 1895 at age 59 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1
     Rt. Hon. Sir Robert William Duff, 4th of Fetteresso held the office of Governor of New South Wales.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.).1

     Louisa Scott is the daughter of Sir William Scott of Ancrum, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Anderson.1 She married Rt. Hon. Sir Robert William Duff, 4th of Fetteresso, son of Arthur Duff and Elizabeth Innes, on 21 February 1871.1
     From 21 February 1871, her married name became Duff.1

     Arthur Abercromby Scott-Duff was baptised with the name of Arthur Abercromby Duff.1
