     Peter Brougham was born between 1781 and 1784. He was the son of Henry Brougham and Eleanor Syme.1 He died on 11 July 1800 at San Salvador, killed in a duel.1
     Peter Brougham gained the rank of officer in the service of the British Army.1

     John Waugh Brougham was born on 8 February 1785.1 He was the son of Henry Brougham and Eleanor Syme.1 He married Margaret Rigg, daughter of Patrick Rigg, on 18 September 1809.1 He died on 22 September 1829 at age 44.1
     John Waugh Brougham lived at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1

     Margaret Rigg was the daughter of Patrick Rigg.1 She married John Waugh Brougham, son of Henry Brougham and Eleanor Syme, on 18 September 1809.1 She died on 26 October 1866.1
     From 18 September 1809, her married name became Brougham.1
