     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 5th Dragoon Guards.1

     Admiral Sir Michael Henry Hodges was born on 29 September 1874.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Francis Hodges.1 He married Frederica Octavia Tiarks, daughter of Henry Frederic Tiarks and Agnes Morris, on 29 October 1903.1 He died on 3 November 1951 at age 77.2
