     General Hon. Sir Edward Cust, 1st Bt. was born on 17 March 1794 at 30 Hill Street, Berkeley Square, London, England.3 He was the son of Brownlow Cust, 1st Baron Brownlow of Belton and Frances Bankes.2 He married Mary Anne Boode, daughter of Lewis William Boode and Margaret Dannett, on 11 January 1821 at Marylebone Church, Marylebone, London, England.3 He died on 14 January 1878 at age 83 at Jermyn Street, London, England.3
     General Hon. Sir Edward Cust, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Cust, of Leasowe Castle, Cheshire [U.K.] on 26 February 1876.2 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.3
