Sir John Ross was the son of William de Ross, 3rd Earl of Ross.1 He married Margaret Comyn, daughter of Sir Alexander Comyn and Joan le Latimer.1 He died, without issue.1

Very Rev. Hon. Henry David Erskine was born in 1786.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Moore. He married Lady Mary Harriet Dawson, daughter of John Dawson, 1st Earl of Portarlington, on 4 May 1813.1 He died on 27 July 1859.1
