     Rt. Hon. Thomas Erskine was born on 12 March 1788.1 He was the son of Sir Thomas Erskine, 1st Baron Erskine of Restormel Castle and Frances Moore.1 He married Henrietta Eliza Trail, daughter of Henry Trail, on 10 December 1814.1 He died on 9 November 1868 at age 80.1
     Rt. Hon. Thomas Erskine held the office of Judge of the Court of Common Pleas.1
     He also had two daughters, both of whom died unmarried.1
