Sir John Buckworth, 1st Bt. was born on 18 October 1662.1 He was the son of Sir John Buckworth and Hester (?).1 He was baptised on 28 October 1662 at St. Olave's, Hart Street, London, England.2 He married Elizabeth Hall, daughter of John Hall, on 27 October 1687 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.2 He died on 12 June 1709 at age 46 at Sheen, England.2 He was buried on 24 June 1709 at St. Peter le Poor, London, England.2 His will (dated 23 July 1708) was probated on 18 June 1709.2
Sir John Buckworth, 1st Bt. was invested as a Knight on 2 December 1693 at Petersham, London, England.2 He succeeded to the title of 1st Baronet Buckworth, of Sheen, co. Surrey [England] on 1 April 1697.1 He held the office of Sheriff of London from 1704 to 1705.1
