Harry Hubert de Merve Slade was born on 18 September 1845.1 He was the son of Sir Frederick William Slade, 2nd Bt. and Barbara Maria Browne-Mostyn.1 He married Evelyn Juliet Marguerite Sayer, daughter of Captain Frederick Sayer and Maria Henrietta Sophia Phipps, on 29 March 1879.1 He died on 21 October 1932 at age 87.1
