     George Brodie was born in 1839.1 He was the son of William Brodie, 22nd of Brodie and Elizabeth Baillie.1 He died in 1868, unmarried.1
     George Brodie gained the rank of officer in the service of the Royal Navy.1

     Louisa Brodie was born in 1801.2 She was the daughter of James Brodie and Anne Story.2 She married Colonel Hugh Calveley Cotton, son of Henry Calveley Cotton and Matilda Lockwood, on 25 April 1825.1 She died on 1 July 1862.1
     From 25 April 1825, her married name became Cotton.

     Colonel Hugh Calveley Cotton was born on 13 February 1798.1 He is the son of Henry Calveley Cotton and Matilda Lockwood.2 He married Louisa Brodie, daughter of James Brodie and Anne Story, on 25 April 1825.1 He died on 13 October 1881 at age 83.1
     Colonel Hugh Calveley Cotton gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Madras Engineers.3 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Honourable East India Company Service.1
