Admiral John Luce was born on 4 February 1870 at Malmesbury, Wiltshire, England.1 He was the son of Colonel John Charles Luce and Mary (?).1 He married Mary Dorothea Tucker, daughter of A. H. Tucker, in 1902. He died on 22 September 1932 at age 62.1
Admiral John Luce was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1914.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Wiltshire between 1930 and 1931.1 He lived at Cheverell House, Devizes, Wiltshire, England.1
