     Sir John Emerich Henry Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 3rd Baron Acton of Aldenham was born on 15 December 1907.2 He was the son of Sir Richard Maximilian Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 2nd Baron Acton of Aldenham and Dorothy Lyon.1 He married Hon. Daphne Strutt, daughter of Robert John Strutt, 4th Baron Rayleigh of Terling Place and Lady Mary Hilda Clements, on 25 November 1931.2 He died on 23 January 1989 at age 81.2
     Sir John Emerich Henry Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 3rd Baron Acton of Aldenham was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.2 He succeeded to the title of Patrician of Naples [Italy] on 16 June 1924. He succeeded to the title of 3rd Baron Acton of Aldenham, co. Shropshire [U.K., 1869] on 16 June 1924.2 He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Acton, of Aldenham [Aldenham Hall, in Morville], Shropshire [E., 1644] on 16 June 1924.2 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.2 He was educated at Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Royal Artillery (Territorial Army).2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.2 He was decorated with the Territorial Decoration (T.D.).2 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1964.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Shropshire.2

     Hon. Richard William Heribert Peter Lyon-Dalberg-Acton was born on 21 February 1909.1 He was the son of Sir Richard Maximilian Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 2nd Baron Acton of Aldenham and Dorothy Lyon.1 He married Jill Ehlert, daughter of Hugo C. Ehlert, on 16 December 1937.1 He died on 7 September 1946 at age 37 at near Bathurst, Gambia, killed in a plane crash.1
     Hon. Richard William Heribert Peter Lyon-Dalberg-Acton fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Temporary Major in the service of the Intelligence Corps.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1940.1

     Jill Ehlert was the daughter of Hugo C. Ehlert.1 She married Hon. Richard William Heribert Peter Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, son of Sir Richard Maximilian Lyon-Dalberg-Acton, 2nd Baron Acton of Aldenham and Dorothy Lyon, on 16 December 1937.1 She died on 7 September 1946 at near Bathurst, Gambia, killed in a plane crash, with her husband.1
     From 16 December 1937, her married name became Lyon-Dalberg-Acton.1
