     Captain Edward Harris Butterfield was born on 21 February 1808 at Chelsea, London, England.1 He was the son of Rear-Admiral William Butterfield and Elizabeth Harris.1 He died on 30 March 1851 at age 43 at 8 Torrington Square, London, England.1
     Captain Edward Harris Butterfield was commissioned on 28 February 1821, in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 1 May 1830.1 He gained the rank of Commander on 3 July 1832.1 He was Commander of the H.M.S. Fantôme on 28 October 1839.1 He gained the rank of Captain on 23 November 1841.1

     Elizabeth Mary Butterfield was born on 28 December 1817 at Beaufort Road, Chelsea, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Rear-Admiral William Butterfield and Elizabeth Harris.1 She married Dr. Robert Hunter Semple, son of Robert Semple, on 28 June 1843 at Petersfield, Hampshire, England.1 She died in 1893 at St. Giles, London, England.1
     From 28 June 1843, her married name became Semple.1

     Hon. Caroline Sophia Wyndham was the daughter of George Wyndham, 1st Baron Leconfield and Mary Fanny Blunt.1,2 She married Colonel Sir Robert Nigel Fitzhardinge Kingscote, son of Colonel Thomas Henry Kingscote and Lady Isabella Anne Frances Somerset, on 13 March 1851 at Petworth, Sussex, England.3,1 She died on 19 March 1852, without issue.4
     From 13 March 1851, her married name became Kingscote.3
