     Emily Frances Anne Bass was the daughter of Michael Thomas Bass and Eliza Jane Arden.1 She married Sir William Chichele Plowden on 30 September 1862.1 She died on 29 November 1915.1
     From 30 September 1862, her married name became Plowden.1

     William Stewart of Fennock was the son of Sir John Stewart.1 He married Margaret Stewart.1 He died circa 1465.1
     In 1444 (an unknown value).1 He held the office of Keeper of Brodick Castle, Arran between 1444 and 1453.1 On 28 January 1444/45 he received charter of Fennock from his parents.1

     James Stewart of Kilcattan was the son of William Stewart of Fennock and Margaret Stewart.1 He died in 1477,, leaving, with a dau, an est s (James, d c 1488) and two yst ones (James (secundus), Robert):.1
     James Stewart of Kilcattan held the office of Sheriff of Bute circa 1468.1 On 3 November 1474 he received a Crown Charter for one acre for Kilcattan.1

     Ninian Stewart of Ardmaleish was the son of James Stewart of Kilcattan. He married, firstly, unknown Campbell.1 He married, secondly, Janet Dunlop circa 10 August 1506.1 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Blair, daughter of John Blair, circa 15 October 1516.1 He died in 1539.1
     Ninian Stewart of Ardmaleish held the office of Sheriff of Arran.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bute.1 On 28 May 1490 he was retoured heir to Ardmaleish, Greenan, Mill of Kilcattan and Corrigillis estates.1 He held the office of Hereditary Captain and Keeper of Rothesay Castle in 1498.1
     He had seven younger sons.1

     Sir James Stewart of Ardmaleish was the son of Ninian Stewart of Ardmaleish and Elizabeth Blair.1 He married, firstly, Mary Campbell, daughter of Archibald Campbell, 4th Earl of Argyll.1 He married, secondly, Marion Fairlie, daughter of John Fairlie of that Ilk.1 He died in 1570.1
     Sir James Stewart of Ardmaleish held the office of Hereditary Captain and Keeper of Rothesay Castle.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bute.1 He was invested as a Knight in 1561.1
     He had two younger sons.1
