     From 14 June 1947, her married name became Bartholomew.1 She lived in 2003 at Poulshot Court, Devizes, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1

     Major John Cairns Bartholomew was born on 19 April 1920 at Hillworth, Devizes, Wiltshire, England.2 He was the son of John Bartholomew and Doris Noeline Cairns.1,2 He married Hon. Noreen Long, daughter of Richard Eric Onslow Long, 3rd Viscount Long and Gwendolyn Hague Cook, on 14 June 1947 at St. Mary's Church, Steeple Ashton, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1,3 He died on 7 February 2016 at age 95.4
     He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW in North Africa.2 He was chairman of the Wadworth brewery between 1952 and 1995.2
