     Lady Dorothea Louise Ashley-Cooper was born on 29 April 1907.1 She was the daughter of Anthony Ashley-Cooper, 9th Earl of Shaftesbury and Lady Constance Sibell Grosvenor.1 She married Antony Henry Head, 1st Viscount Head, son of Geoffrey Head and Ethel Daisy Flower, on 23 July 1935.2 She died in 1987.2
     Her married name became Head. She was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)1 After her marriage, Lady Dorothea Louise Ashley-Cooper was styled as Viscountess Head on 2 August 1960.

     Her married name became Long. After her marriage, Gwendolyn Hague Cook was styled as Viscountess Long on 23 September 1944.
