     Laurence Frederick York was the son of Colonel Edward York.2 He married Enid Laura Buxton, daughter of Edward Gurney Buxton and Laura Gurney, on 3 July 1937.1 He died on 13 May 1967.1

     Sonia Elisabeth York was born on 24 August 1940.1 She is the daughter of Laurence Frederick York and Enid Laura Buxton.2 She married John Giles Selby Coode-Adams, son of Geoffrey Coode-Adams, on 30 April 1960.1
     Sonia Elisabeth York was educated at Crofton Grange School.1 From 30 April 1960, her married name became Coode-Adams. She was with Coode-Adams Martin Associates (Art Consultants) between 1983 and 2001.1 She lived in 2003 at Feeringbury Manor, Feering, Colchester, Essex, England.1 She was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in June 2008.3
