     Harry Gurney Buxton graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1901.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Captain in the service of the 9th Battalion, Norfolk Regiment.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Norfolk.¹

     Evelyn Musgrave Harvey was the daughter of Richard Musgrave Harvey.² She married Harry Gurney Buxton, son of Samuel Gurney Buxton and Louisa Caroline Hoare, on 30 April 1910.¹ She died on 24 December 1953.¹
     From 30 April 1910, her married name became Buxton.

     Grizell Evelyn Buxton was born on 18 July 1919.¹ She was the daughter of Harry Gurney Buxton and Evelyn Musgrave Harvey.² She married Venerable Edwin James Greenfield Ward, son of Reverend Frederick Greenfield Ward, on 4 September 1946.¹ She died in 1985.³
     Grizell Evelyn Buxton gained the rank of Junior Commander in the service of the Auxiliary Territorial Service, during the Second World War.¹ From 4 September 1946, her married name became Ward.
