     Richard Gurney Buxton was born in 1887.1 He was the son of Samuel Gurney Buxton and Mary Anne Birkbeck.2 He married Mary Primrose Ralli, daughter of Major Antonio Stephen Ralli, on 16 July 1914.1 He died in 1972.1
     Richard Gurney Buxton was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Norfolk Yeomanry.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.1
