     Lt.-Col. Arthur Vincent Gompertz was born in 1888 at Madras, IndiaG.2 He was the son of Alfred Clemons Maxwell Gompertz and Catherine M. S. Rogers.2 He married Beatrice Emily Parry in 1915.2 He died in 1934, at sea, returning from India.2
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1 He lived at Barton-on-Sea, Hampshire, EnglandG.1

     F/O Philip Arthur Leo Gompertz was born circa 1921.3 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Arthur Vincent Gompertz and Beatrice Emily Parry.4,3 He married Mary Judith Buxton, daughter of Leland William Wilberforce Buxton and Ada Mary Oakes, on 6 June 1942.1 He died on 19 August 1942, killed on active service during the raid on Dieppe.1,2
     He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force.2

     Edith Frances Buxton was born on 30 August 1867.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 3rd Bt. and Lady Victoria Noel.2 She married Walter George Hepburne-Scott, 9th Lord Polwarth, son of Walter Hugh Hepburne-Scott, 8th Lord Polwarth and Lady Mary Gordon, on 23 November 1888.1 She died on 25 March 1930 at age 62.2
     From 23 November 1888, her married name became Hepburne-Scott.2

     Sir Gregory Byrne, 1st Bt. was the son of Daniel Byrne and Anne Taylor.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Copley, daughter of Colonel Christopher Copley and Lady Mary Jones, circa 15 March 1669/70.1 He married, secondly, Alice Fleming, daughter of Randall Fleming, 16th Lord Slane and Penelope Moore, in 1690.1 He died in March 1712.1
     He was admitted to Gray's Inn on 23 June 1662.1 He was created 1st Baronet Byrne, of Timogue, Queen's County [Ireland] on 17 May 1671.1 He was Tax Assessor for Queen's County.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ballynakill [Ireland] in 1689.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Queen's County from 28 November 1689 to 10 June 1690.1

     Mary Catherine Buxton was born on 29 July 1870.1 She was the daughter of Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, 3rd Bt. and Lady Victoria Noel.2 She married Reverend Stewart Gordon Ponsonby, son of Captain Charles Ponsonby, on 27 November 1889.1 She died on 6 January 1960 at age 89.1
     From 27 November 1889, her married name became Ponsonby.
