     Philip Sylvester Alexander was born on 6 February 1883.¹ He was the son of Colonel Hon. Walter Philip Alexander and Margaret Katherine Grimston.² He married Violet Lucy Hendrick-Aylmer, daughter of Hans Hendrick Hendrick-Aylmer and Florence Edwards, on 31 December 1925.¹ He died on 22 October 1952 at age 69.¹
     Philip Sylvester Alexander gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars.³ He fought in the First World War, where he was wounded and mentioned in despatches.¹

     Hans Hendrick Hendrick-Aylmer was baptised with the name of Hans Hendrick Aylmer.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1877 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He was a practising Barrister-at-law in 1880.¹ On 1889 his name was legally changed to Hans Hendrick Hendrick-Aylmer when he assumed the additional surname and arms of Hendrick by Royal Licence.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff in 1894.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).¹ He lived at Kerdiffstown, Sallins, County Kildare, Ireland.² He lived at Kerdiffstown House, Naas, County Kildare, Ireland.¹

     Violet Lucy Hendrick-Aylmer was born on 13 September 1891.¹ She was the daughter of Hans Hendrick Hendrick-Aylmer and Florence Edwards.^2,1 She married Philip Sylvester Alexander, son of Colonel Hon. Walter Philip Alexander and Margaret Katherine Grimston, on 31 December 1925.³ She died in 1979.³
     From 31 December 1925, her married name became Alexander.¹ As of 1976, Violet Lucy Hendrick-Aylmer lived at Kilmorna, Lismore, County Waterford, Ireland.¹

     Lieutenant Charles Godfrey Alexander was born on 22 January 1928.¹ He was the son of Philip Sylvester Alexander and Violet Lucy Hendrick-Aylmer.² He died on 3 January 1951 at age 22 at Korea, killed in action.¹
