     Sir Archibald Young Gipps Campbell was baptised on 14 July 1872 at Hove, Sussex, England.2 He was the son of Archibald Samuels Campbell of Auchenbreck and Mary Alice Gipps.2 He married Frances Irene Young, daughter of Reverend Henry Savill Young and Rebecca Isabella Brewis, on 15 December 1910.1 He died on 30 October 1957 at age 85.1
     He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).1 He was decorated with the award of the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve Officers' Decoration (V.D.).1 He was in the Indian Civil Service.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.).1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.).1

     Frances Irene Young was the daughter of Reverend Henry Savill Young and Rebecca Isabella Brewis.2 She married Sir Archibald Young Gipps Campbell, son of Archibald Samuels Campbell of Auchenbreck and Mary Alice Gipps, on 15 December 1910.1 She died on 30 December 1967.1
      From 15 December 1910, her married name became Campbell.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Royal Signals.1
