     Colonel Howard Kingscote was born on 29 April 1845 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.^2,1 He was the son of Henry Robert Kingscote and Harriett Elizabeth Tower.¹ He married, firstly, Adeline Georgina Isabella Wolff, daughter of Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Drummond Wolff and Adeline (?), on 25 June 1885 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.^2,1 He married, secondly, Annie Foster, daughter of John Foster, on 28 September 1909 at Headington, Oxfordshire, England.^2,1 He died on 17 March 1917 at age 71.¹
     Colonel Howard Kingscote was commissioned in 1862, in the service of the Army.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant on 6 April 1863.² He gained the rank of Captain on 2 September 1868.² He gained the rank of Major on 1 July 1881.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on 20 May 1885.² He gained the rank of Colonel on 20 May 1889.² He was Colonel of the Oxford Regimental District between 24 August 1895 and 13 September 1899.² He retired from the military on 29 April 1902, with the rank of Colonel.²
