     Eleanor Hyde Watts was born on 25 August 1908 at Cheadle Hume, Manchester, Lancashire, England.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Humphrey Watts.3 She married Sir Simon Arthur Campbell-Orde, 5th Bt., son of Sir Arthur John Campbell-Orde, 4th Bt. and Maie Ronald Stewart, on 30 April 1938.1 She died on 18 May 1996 at age 87.1
     She was educated at Central School of Art and Design, London, EnglandG.2 From 30 April 1938, her married name became Campbell-Orde.
