     Thomas Williams Evans was born on 6 March 1815.1 He was the son of Eyre Evans and Anna Maunsell.2 He married Helen Elizabeth Moncrieffe, daughter of Reverend David Stewart Moncrieffe, on 12 August 1851.1 He died on 3 November 1882 at age 67.1
     Thomas Williams Evans gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 74th Highlanders.1 He lived at Crieff Lodge, Auckland, New Zealand.1
