     John Carden was born circa 1623.3 He was also reported to have been born circa 1613.1 He was the son of John Carden and Elizabeth Catherall.2 He married Priscilla Kent, daughter of John Kent.1 He died in 1728.1 His will was probated on 3 September 1728.3
     John Carden lived circa 1650 at Templemore, County Tipperary, Ireland.1 In 1704 he purchased from the Earl of Arran some 3,000 acres of land 'together with a Mill and the profits of a fair, all being parcels of the lordship of Templemore', which land he had previosuly leased for some time.3

     Priscilla Kent was the daughter of John Kent.2 She married John Carden, son of John Carden and Elizabeth Catherall.1 She died circa 1735.2 Her will was probated on 9 December 1735.2
     Her married name became Carden.1

     Jonathan Carden was born circa 1674.3 He was the son of John Carden and Priscilla Kent.2 He married Bridget Bagot circa 1698.3 He died in 1703,.3 His will was probated on 12 April 1703.3
     He was said to have been disinherited by his father for marrying without consent.3 He purchased 'Castle town and lands of Barnane', from Stephen Moore, of Kilworth, County Cork on 17 June 1701.3 He lived at Barnane, County Tipperary, Ireland.3 His last will was dated 16 June 1702.3
