William Carden was the son of John Carden and Elizabeth Catherall.2 He married Elizabeth Minnitt, daughter of Captain John Minnitt, in 1672.1 He died from 4 July 1723 to March 1725.1 His will was probated in March 1725.1
He went to Tipperary towards the end of the 17th century and acquired property in the parish of Dromineer in the Barony of Lower Ormond.1 He lived at Newland, County Kildare, Ireland.1 His last will was dated 4 July 1723.1
