     Lieutenant Cavendish Hore-Ruthven was the son of Walter Hore-Ruthven and Mary Elizabeth Thornton Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland.2 He died on 22 October 1854, from wounds received in action before Sebastopol.1
     Lieutenant Cavendish Hore-Ruthven gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol in October 1854.1

     Hon. Jane Stewart Hore was born circa 1824.1 She was the daughter of Walter Hore-Ruthven and Mary Elizabeth Thornton Ruthven, Lady Ruthven of Freeland.2 She married Denis George O'Grady, son of Darby O'Grady and Ellen George, on 1 May 1858.1 She died on 6 October 1917, without issue.1
     From 1 May 1858, her married name became O'Grady.3
