     Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt. was born on 30 December 1763 at Kingston, Jamaica.1 He was the son of John Jackson and Hannah Coverley.2 He married Charlotte Spry Gorham, daughter of General Joseph Gorham, on 13 February 1797.1 He died on 17 May 1820 at age 56.1
     Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt. was created 1st Baronet Jackson, of Arlsey, co. Bedford [U.K.] on 22 May 1815.1

     Charlotte Spry Gorham was the daughter of General Joseph Gorham.1 She married Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt., son of John Jackson and Hannah Coverley, on 13 February 1797.1 She died on 30 June 1807.1
     From 13 February 1797, her married name became Jackson.1

     Amelia Waddell was the daughter of George Waddell.1 She married Sir Keith Jackson, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Jackson, 1st Bt. and Charlotte Spry Gorham, in February 1834.1 She died on 22 September 1872.1
     From February 1834, her married name became Jackson.1
