     General Sir Edward Charles Warde was born in 1810.1 He was the son of General Sir Henry Warde.1 He married Jane Lane, daughter of Reverend Charles Lane and Frances Catherine Sandford, on 24 August 1843 at Deal, Kent, England.1
     General Sir Edward Charles Warde fought in the Crimean War, where he commanded the British seige train at Sebastopol.1 He was decorated with the Knight, Order of the Medjidie.1 He gained the rank of General in the service of the Royal Artillery.1 He was decorated with the Officer, Legion of Honour.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1

     Henry Murray Lane was born in 1833 at Leamington, Warwickshire, England.1 He was the son of Reverend Charles Lane and Frances Catherine Sandford.1 He married Mary Isabella Wykeham-Martin, daughter of Reverend Richard Fiennes Wykeham-Martin and Mary Malcolm, on 9 October 1862.1 He died in 1913.1
     Henry Murray Lane held the office of Chester Herald on 21 July 1864.1 He was secretary to the Garter Mission at the Court of St. Petersburg in 1867.1 He held the office of Bluemantle Pursuivant of Arms.1 He wrote the book Lane of Bentley Hall.1 He held the office of Registrar of the College of Arms.1
