     Richard Arthur Handcock was born on 10 January 1836.1 He was the son of Rev. Hon. John Gustavus Handcock and Frances Flood Jessop.2 He married Harriette MacCormack, daughter of Surgn-Maj. Michael James MacCormack, on 21 June 1865.1 He died on 10 June 1915 at age 79.1
