Eva Renée Cathcart gained the rank of Junior Commander in 1945 in the service of the Auxiliary Territorial Service, during the Second World War, and raised the Mauritius Women's Volunteer Corps.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.1 She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1971.1 She lived in 2003 at Warwick House, Aiskew, Bedale, Yorkshire, England.1
