     Augustus Ernest Cathcart was born on 4 March 1875.1 He was the son of Colonel Hon. Augustus Murray Cathcart and Hon. Jean Mary Orde-Powlett.2 He married Hilda Renée Lee, daughter of William Frederick Lee, on 10 June 1913.1 He died on 29 May 1958 at age 83.1

     Hilda Renée Lee was the daughter of William Frederick Lee.2 She married Augustus Ernest Cathcart, son of Colonel Hon. Augustus Murray Cathcart and Hon. Jean Mary Orde-Powlett, on 10 June 1913.1 She died in September 1914, killed in action.1
     From 10 June 1913, her married name became Cathcart. She fought in the First World War.1

     Eva Renée Cathcart gained the rank of Junior Commander in 1945 in the service of the Auxiliary Territorial Service, during the Second World War, and raised the Mauritius Women's Volunteer Corps.1 She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.1 She was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1971.1 She lived in 2003 at Warwick House, Aiskew, Bedale, Yorkshire, England.1
