     Ford Lambart, 5th Earl of the County of Cavan was born in 1718 at Maryborough, County Laois, Ireland.1,3 He was the son of Richard Lambart, 4th Earl of the County of Cavan and Margaret Trant.2 He married Elizabeth Wall, daughter of James Wall and Mary Edgeworth, on 24 March 1741/42.1 He died on 29 September 1772, without male issue.1 He was buried on 1 October 1772 at St. Michael's Church, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.4
     Ford Lambart, 5th Earl of the County of Cavan matriculated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, on 14 November 1740.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Lord Lambart, Baron of Cavan, co. Cavan [I., 1618] on 10 March 1741.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Earl of the County of Cavan [I., 1647] on 10 March 1741.1 He succeeded to the title of 5th Viscount Kilcoursie, in the King's County [I., 1647] on 10 March 1741.1 He held the office of Grand Master of the Freemasons [Ireland] from 1767 to 1768.5 He held the office of Grand Master of the Freemasons [Ireland] between 1768 and 1769.

     Elizabeth Wall was the daughter of James Wall and Mary Edgeworth.2,3 She married Ford Lambart, 5th Earl of the County of Cavan, son of Richard Lambart, 4th Earl of the County of Cavan and Margaret Trant, on 24 March 1741/42.1 She died on 4 October 1766 at Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.1,3
     As a result of her marriage, Elizabeth Wall was styled as Countess of the County of Cavan on 24 March 1741/42. From 24 March 1741/42, her married name became Lambart.
