     Sir William Hicks, 7th Bt. was born on 29 October 1754.1 He was the son of Sir Howe Hicks, 6th Bt. and Martha Browne.1 He married, firstly, Judith Whitcombe, daughter of Edward Whitcombe, on 12 May 1785.1 He married, secondly, Anne Rachel Chute, daughter of Thomas Lobb Chute, on 7 October 1793.1 He died on 23 October 1834 at age 79.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Hicks, of Beverston Castle, co. Gloucester [E., 1619] in August 1801.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Gloucestershire from 1812 to 1813.1
