     Colonel Gordon Napier Caulfeild was born on 27 January 1862.1 He was the son of Colonel Robert Caulfeild and Caroline Henriette Magill.2 He married Mildred O'Reilly, daughter of Philip O'Reilly, on 21 May 1902.1 He died on 17 March 1922 at age 60.1
     Colonel Gordon Napier Caulfeild was decorated with the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1893.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 17th Service Battalion, Durham Light Infantry.1
