     Major Ynyr Alfred Burges was born on 16 April 1900.1 He is the son of Ynyr Richard Patrick Burges and Frederica Florence Elizabeth Gillett.2 He married Christine O'Shee, daughter of Colonel George Iver Patrick Poer O'Shee and Lady Edith Charlotte Harriett King-Tenison, on 30 April 1930.1
     Major Ynyr Alfred Burges lived after 1908 at Parkanaur, County Tyrone, Ireland.1 He was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was with the Army of the Black Sea between 1922 and 1923.1 He retired from the military in 1930, late of the Coldstream Guards.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of County Tyrone in 1933.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Tyrone in 1936.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 In 1939 High Sheriff.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Armagh in 1951.1 He lived in 1976 at Catsfield Manor, Battle, Sussex, England.3
