Mary Berkeley was born before 1671.² She was the daughter of John Berkeley, 4th Viscount Fitzhardinge of Berehaven and Barbara Villiers.^1,2 She married Walter Chetwynd, 1st Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven, son of John Chetwynd and Lucy Roane, on 27 May 1703 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, England.² She died on 28 February 1736/37.¹ She was buried at Ingestre, Staffordshire, England.² Her will (dated 27 November 1736) was probated on 19 March 1736/37.²
     Hon. Mary Berkeley held the office of Maid of Honour to Queen Anne.² From 27 May 1703, her married name became Chetwynd. As a result of her marriage, Hon. Mary Berkeley was styled as Viscountess Chetwynd on 29 June 1717.

     Hon. William Richard Chetwynd was born circa 1732.³ He was the son of John Chetwynd, 2nd Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven and Esther Kent.² He married Elizabeth Wollaston, daughter of William Wollaston, on 13 March 1753.³ He died in February 1765 at France.^1,3
     Hon. William Richard Chetwynd matriculated at Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 17 January 1746/47.³ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stafford between 1754 and 1765.³
