     George Watson Cheyne was born on 16 May 1929.1 He was the son of William Hunter Watson Cheyne and Grizel Bayley.2 He married Alison Diana Jones, daughter of Cyril Muir Jones, on 1 February 1964.1 He died on 24 December 1996 at age 67.1
