     Colonel Edward John Mounsey Gore was born on 26 July 1863.1 He was the son of Major James Arthur Charles Gore and Catherine Louise Bazalgette.1 He married Hon. Emilia Herbert Fullarton Napier, daughter of Field Marshal Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala and Mary Cecilia Scott, on 25 May 1899.1 He died on 2 December 1949 at age 86.1
     He gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the London Regiment.1

     From 25 May 1899, her married name became Gore.1
