     Colonel Edward John Mounsey Gore was born on 26 July 1863.1 He was the son of Major James Arthur Charles Gore and Catherine Louise Bazalgette.1 He married Hon. Emilia Herbert Fullarton Napier, daughter of Field Marshal Sir Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala, on 25 May 1899.1 He died on 2 December 1949 at age 86.1
     Colonel Edward John Mounsey Gore gained the rank of Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the London Regiment.1

     Hon. Emilia Herbert Fullarton Napier was the daughter of Field Marshal Sir Robert Cornelis Napier, 1st Baron Napier of Magdala.1 She married Colonel Edward John Mounsey Gore, son of Major James Arthur Charles Gore and Catherine Louise Bazalgette, on 25 May 1899.1 She died on 6 April 1932.1
     From 25 May 1899, her married name became Gore.1
