     William Charleton was born on 25 November 1804.2 He is the son of William Charleton and Eleanor Ramsay.1,2 He was baptised on 6 January 1805 at Rothbury, Northumberland, England.2 He married Anna Isabella Charleton, daughter of Sir Edward Charlton, 1st and last Bt. and Mary Widdrington, on 14 June 1831 at Alnwick, Northumberland, England.2
     He acquired the estate of Hesleyside, Northumberland.1

     Sir William Compton, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir William Compton, 1st Bt. and Catherine Bond.1 He married Jane Hyde.1 He died on 5 June 1731 at Hurst, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 25 November 1731.1
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Compton, of Hartbury, co. Gloucester [E., 1686] before 1698.1

     Sir William Compton, 1st Bt. was the son of William Compton and Mary Habington.1 He married Catherine Bond, daughter of Thomas Bond and Catharine Osbaldeston.1 He died before 1698.1 He died intestate and his estate was administered on 15 July 1698.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Compton, of Hartbury, co. Gloucester [England] on 6 May 1686.1
