     Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt. was born circa April 1566 at Lime Street, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of William Chester and Judith Cave.1 He was baptised on 10 April 1566 at St. Dionis Backchurch, Fenchurch Street, London, EnglandG.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Boteler, daughter of Sir Henry Boteler and Catherine Waller, on 24 October 1589 at St. Giles's, Cripplegate, London, EnglandG.1 He married, secondly, Mary Ellis, daughter of John Ellis and Elizabeth Plompton, on 5 September 1631.1 He died on 1 December 1635 at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He was buried on 3 December 1635 at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 His will (dated 25 November 1635) was proven (by probate) on 9 December 1635.1 An inquest post mortem was held for his on 7 October 1636 at OlneyG.1
     In August 1577 he inherited the Chicheley estates from his maternal grandmother.1 In 1588 he raised a troop of horse.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Buckinghamshire from 1602 to 1603.1 He was created 1st Baronet Chester, of Chicheley, co. Bucks [England] on 23 March 1619/20.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Bedfordshire from 1628 to 1629.1

     Elizabeth Boteler was born circa 1566.1 She was the daughter of Sir Henry Boteler and Catherine Waller.1 She married Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt., son of William Chester and Judith Cave, on 24 October 1589 at St. Giles's, Cripplegate, London, EnglandG.1 She died on 5 April 1629.1 She was buried at Chicheley, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1
     From 24 October 1589, her married name became Chester.1

     Mary Ellis was born circa 1606.1 She was the daughter of John Ellis and Elizabeth Plompton.1 She married, firstly, Sir Anthony Chester, 1st Bt., son of William Chester and Judith Cave, on 5 September 1631.1 She married, secondly, Samuel Lodington on 8 June 1658 at St. Peter's Church, Paul's Wharf, London, EnglandG.1 She died circa September 1692.1 She was buried on 24 September 1692 at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Church, Covent Garden, London, EnglandG.1 Her will (dated 19 July 1677 to 10 September 1692) was proven (by probate) on 26 September 1692.1
     From 5 September 1631, her married name became Chester.1 From 8 June 1658, her married name became Lodington.1
